Surbiton bathroom
We’re thrilled to showcase this stunning bathroom that we designed and built in Surbiton. The original room was functional, but looked tired and uninspiring. The client wanted a separate shower and bath, so we designed the space to incorporate both well.
We were so excited when the client gave us carte-blanche with this design, and worked really hard to create something special - even down to the rustic wooden window sills and feature lighting. It’s not just a look – it’s a feeling!!⠀
We’re fortunate to have products on hand that are so versatile, such as The Shower Lab‘s bespoke walk-in screen that folds back. It’s a non-standard size and only bespoke would work here. A fixed screen would have not given enough access into the shower area, so a fold-back screen was the only option. We specialise in the planning and design of awkward or more compact bathrooms to ensure our customer’’ get the most out of their space.

The wet-room area with the linear drain from Impey Showers, creates a seamless look and uses every centimetre of space available.⠀
We’ve used Vitra washstand and WC, which allowed us to move the WC to near the door and as far back as possible whilst also using an ultra-slim cistern.⠀

We chose Capietra’s Maroc tiling, along with their wood effect floor tiles. We have some of the best tilers in London and our team fully mitred the edges around the boxing and alcoves for a more seamless finish that worked better with the more rustic Mediterranean feel we wanted.
There are lots of zellige tiles out there however real terracotta can be impracticable for areas with direct contact , so we love Capietra’s porcelain replicas' that achieve the look with a porcelain tile. The blue Maroc tile offers a real natural depth of colour and they bring the room to life whilst also being low maintenance!
